Charge

DUI – Drink Driving .082

Background

Our client had a car accident. Police arrived and found that our client had an alcohol reading of .082. Whilst no injuries were sustained by either party, our client was on a student visa and about to apply for permanent residency.

Process

We were instructed to plead guilty. Whilst we adhere to our client instructions, a conviction recorded may have had an adverse effect on her permanent residency application. Careful drafting of submissions to the court accompanied with references and discussions with police prosecutions provided a favourable outcome.

Outcome

Our client was disqualified for 2 months with a fine of $380 with no conviction recorded.
