Background

After police raided our client’s residence, he faced three charges including possession of dangerous drugs, utensils, as well as property seized such as an iPhone and cash found.  We were instructed to plead guilty to some charges however, his iPhone and cash had no part in what police alleged. Our instructions were to retrieve the phone and cash.

Process

Discussions and submissions with prosecutions took a few months before pleading guilty to the remainder of charges. Proving that the phone and cash were not part of the charges was a challenge hence the time frame.

Outcome

Police returned to our client the sum of cash and an iPhone. He was then sentenced a total of $550 for all charges with a conviction not recorded.
